Rochman Design-Build was founded by Gary Rochman, who had a vision of joining the design and construction processes under one roof to form a single vibrant building company. His background in architecture, engineering, carpentry, and ethical business practice has been instrumental in creating and leading our talented team.

Gary received his B.S. degree in Architectural Engineering from the University of Colorado and soon after worked as a structural engineer in San Francisco. He also worked as a framing carpenter and a remodeling carpenter, and as an architect in Ann Arbor. Wanting to join all these elements and focus on residential work, Gary founded RDB in 1989. Gary has earned the distinction of Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR) from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Remodelers, and Green Certified Professional (GCP) from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI).

We have grown slowly and steadily over the years, and our current exceptional staff provides all of the following services in-house: rough and finish carpentry, architecture, interior design, estimating and management. Our staff attends national conferences, pursues continuing education and certifications, and stays at the forefront of business practices, remodeling technology, and new products. Involvement with local and regional professional organizations has also been key to our success.
