The front elevation of the Burns Park
Colonial. On the exterior, we will
be adding a new portico over the
front porch and a deck to the rear
The existing galley kitchen will be
renovated and relocated, creating
space for a new half-bath
This second floor bathroom will
be updated with new fixtures,
cabinetry, and finishes
June 1, 2009
The kitchen demolition has begun,
with the removal of the fixtures,
countertop and plaster.
This wall between the kitchen and
the dining room will be removed
in order to create a more unified space.
Old tub and tile were removed.
New tub is waiting for new tile
June 15, 2009
The new back door has
been installed, giving Brian
a reason to smile.
The rough framing for the new
half-bath is complete along
with new walls around the stairs.
On the outside, the new air conditioner
has been installed. Work has
begun on the new deck.
June 24, 2009
Phillip (lead carpenter) is on
the phone, coordinating
with a subcontractor.
Drywall has been installed
and the interior spaces
have taken shape.
Brian and Ryan installing new
siding, infilling where an existing
door and window were located.

The new dynamic and vibrant
paint colors add energy and
excitement to the entire house.
The kitchen cabinets and countertops
have been installed. Brian is preparing
the space for floor tile installation.
Upstairs, the bathroom vanity and
countertop have also been installed.

In the upstairs bathroom,
the tile has been installed
around the shower.
Downstairs in the kitchen,
the mosaic tile backsplash
has been installed.

A new front door has
been installed. Next
step is the portico.
Phillip is building temporary
supports to hold the portico
while it is being installed.
Here is the portico after being
lifted into place, ready for the
columns and detail work.
