This 1960s ranch will be getting
a new kitchen, mudroom, powder
room and utility room.
Some photos of the dated existing
kitchen: too small, poor layout, and
insufficient storage.
The powder room will be reconfigured,
with new fixtures, wall treatment
and tile floor.
Here’s a rendering of the new kitchen,
with Cherry cabinets, new tile floor, a pass-thru
to the dining room, and new windows
with a view to the woods beyond.

This kitchen will be getting an underfloor
radiant heating system. The wire mesh
is being laid to cover the hot water pipes.
Lightcrete will be poured over the mesh to serve
as a base for the final tile floor.

To create a better floor plan, we shifted
the location of the mudroom door. You
can see where the siding has been patched.

Now that the tile floor has been
installed, we can start installing the
cabinets; in this case, the
base for the sink.
On the other side of the room,
the bookcases are beginning to take shape.
Here’s a glimpse of the newly
refurbished powder room,
awaiting its mirror.
