This is our 3rd project for our awesome clients in the Burns Park neighborhood of lovely Ann Arbor. For this project, the Rochman Design Build team will be remodeling the Sunroom, used as a playroom for years, into an expanded space of the living room where our clients can gather with their expanding family for holiday dinners and family gatherings. It’s demolition week. Time to take out the old and get ready for the new.

We removed the cabinets in the playroom (original sunroom) And enlarged the opening to the living room, making it easier for our clients to handle a table for 30😉.

The elaborate archway’s main goal is to conceal the HVAC trunk lines as well as create a cabinet nook. Combining function + beauty is all part of what makes us… us 😊

It might not look like it but here we’re furring out kitchen brick veneer so that we’re able to hang drywall. (FYI – or rather, FMI - To "furr out" brick veneer means installing furring strips (thin wooden or metal boards) to create an overhang for the veneer, which is a non-structural brick layer, often for aesthetics.)
